Overview
After researching, we were unable to locate the building code adoption ordinance. Richmond County, VA falls under the jurisdiction of the state of Virginia which adopts the Virginia Uniform Statewide Building Code (VUSBC) (based upon the ICC body of codes). Va. Code Ann. § 36-105.

construction, typically merit extra consideration in a current updated code.

Chapter 11 of the 2015 VEBC provides retrofit regulations.
